Why do you think Congress has done well in General Election 2009?

The mandate is clearly in favour of Congress and its allies. Congress has posted its best results in decades. Despite an effective campaign, BJP lead NDA alliance not only failed to muster numbers, it merely repeated its existing performance even in BJP led states.
